For restaurants, businesses and homes wanting to fly flags, the biggest pain is the tendency of flags to wrap and tangle around the pole. This is an issue not only with national flags but local and team flags that many sports bars like to fly outside their venues.
The simplest and best way to prevent this problem is one I hardly ever see. You can skip those ugly strips and grommets across the flag bottom and just do this:
