Seinfeld’s lesson for startups

25 years ago on July 5th, the debut Seinfeld episode aired. What many people don’t know is Seinfeld, now called the greatest TV show in history, had one of the worst pre-launch research results possible.  It was called “weak” and test audiences hated it.

I would never say research and consumer testing is not important but it’s not the whole picture, especially with new and revolutionary concepts.
