FREE IDEA: Creative Social Media Promo for a Pizzeria

~~ Elio’s Pizza encourages customers custom decorate their pizzas, shoot a pic and put it up on social media.
~~ That’s a fun idea for any pizzeria, and is sure to generate some interesting social media traffic. You could have people vote on the most creative design!
~~ Just get a squirt bottle of ranch dressing (strangely popular on pizza) as well as some tomato sauce and possibly some green chili sauce or some other colored decorative additions, that are compatible with pizza.

If you try it let me know how it works out!  And feel free to reach out to us here at A-List to discuss great promotion and social media ideas.  Cheers – Tim

Fun customer contest idea for a pizza restaurant.

This Buzzfeed is not a restaurant contest but gave me an idea – why not have customers draw fun pictures on their pizza boxes, snap a shot and post to the Pizzeria’s blog, Instagram or Facebook, just to create a fun experience online for customers.  Let customers vote on the best ones and give away a head-turning prize like a pizza a month for a year.

Bypass Groupon to Support Local Businesses (and get the same deals!)

Groupons and other online social coupons are great way of saving money, but they cost the business tremendously. When you pay $25 for a Groupon that gives you a $50 value, the merchant gets around $12.50. If you just mention the Groupon without buying it, you could get a similar deal.

Instead of buying online, try going directly to the merchant and ask them for a similar deal (you might have to check in with the manager). Savvy business owners realize if they say no, you’ll just buy they coupon online and they’ll get less money.
